Assam TET 2019: 16000 Vacancies, Eligibility, Previous Year Question Paper

Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) Assam has announced to recruit 16000 teachers through the TET exam. The actual notification is yet to be released in the month of July-August 2019. The process of filling the online application form is supposed to start in July or August as well. The date of TET exam and availability of admit card will be soon known as the official notification is released. Here we have shared some information regarding Assam TET 2019 like eligibility criteria, educational qualification, exam pattern and previous year Assam TET exam question paper.

Eligibility Criteria:

Citizenship:

The applicant is required to be an Indian and a resident of the state. The Indian Citizens who reside outside Assam are not eligible to apply.

Age Limit:

The applicant’s age must not be less than 18 years and not be more than 38 years on 1st January 2019. The SC and ST candidates can avail a 5-year concession in the upper age limit.

Educational Qualification:

The educational qualification differs for Paper 1 (Class 1 to 5) and Paper 2 (Class 6 to 8) teachers and it is given below:
Paper 1:
The candidate must have qualified its 10+2 examination with a minimum of 45%. A 2-year diploma in Elementary Education (D. El. Ed.) or any graduation like B.A, B.Sc, or B.Com with B.Ed. degree with 50% marks minimum.
Paper 2:
The applicant should have a B.Sc, B.Com, or B.A degree in the desired subject and must possess a B.Ed degree as well with 50% marks.
OR
If you do not have B.Ed or B.T degree but you have a master degree or post graduation in science, commerce, or arts then you can also apply.

How to apply:

  1. Visit Assam TET’s official website: https://ssa.assam.gov.in/
  2. Go and check for the online application link and click on it.
  3. Register yourself first and then login.
  4. Now fill the application form with required details and submit it.
  5. Upload the documents and pay the examination fees.
  6. Finally, submit the application by clicking on the “Submit” button.
  7. Now download your application form and take a print out.
Application Fees:
The application fee is expected to be Rs 400. There is a concession in fee for SC and ST candidates.

Exam Pattern:

Paper 1 and Paper 2, both will be of 150 marks and the duration of the exam will be 90 minutes, that is, 1 hour 30 minutes.

Previous Year Assam TET Exam Question Papers:

Paper 1:
  • As per previous year question papers and Assam TET’s pattern, the question paper will consist of 5 sections: Child Development and Pedagogy, Language 1, Language 2, Mathematics, and Environmental Science.
  • Each section will contain 30 questions and each question has the value of 1 mark. That means 150 questions and 150 marks.
  • All questions are multiple choice types and therefore, 4 options will be given to every question.
  • Language 1 and Language 2 will contain exams regarding those languages that you would have selected while filling up the form. English is compulsory.
Paper 2:
  • This type will include 4 sections: Child Development and Pedagogy, Language 1, Language 2, and the subject you have to teach (Science and Mathematics or Social Studies).
  • The first 3 sections will consist of 30 questions each and the last section will consist of 60 questions. Each question weighs 1 mark. That means 150 marks for 150 questions.
  • All questions will be MCQs and will have 4 options each.
  • Language 1 and Language 2 papers are the languages that you would have chosen while filling up the form in which English is compulsory.
